Michael Martin is a New York based sound mixer with a combination of 10+ years experience in production audio, broadcast, audio post-production and technical operations. He started his professional life in the late 1990′s as an engineering tech in the San Francisco Bay Area working for high tech companies such as Cisco Systems and Tyan Computer. During this time he honed his skills as an audio engineer and sound editor for local bands and studios. In 2003 after working on his first production ‘Billabong Odyssey’ Michael realized his talents were better suited for audio full time and eventually moved to Los Angeles to focus on sound for picture.

In Los Angeles, Michael worked for over 5 years as a production sound mixer for several companies across numerous genres of productions including features, web series, docs, television, broadcast and talk style web shows, commercials and corporate branded content. Major brands and companies that Michael has worked with include Buzz Media, Discovery, ESPN, SYFY, SPEED Channel, DreamWorks, HDNET, Toyota, Armani Exchange and more. In addition to his extensive work in production audio for picture, Michael also has strong experience in post-production audio performing sound editing, sound FX, foley, dialog editing, ADR, voiceover and re-mixing.
